COACHING

I coach high school and club volleyball in Connecticut, both girls’ teams and boys’ teams.

Coaching Philosophy

I coach because I love the sport of volleyball and want to share my love and knowledge of the game with others. I also coach because I believe that volleyball requires many of the same skills that are necessary to be successful in life, and coaching provides me an opportunity to help players become self-aware, make good decisions (on the court and in life), and get and stay on a positive path towards success.  I value the players as individuals and aim to be clear and concise in my expectations for the players, the team, and the program. On my team, I value honesty, integrity, and hard work. I aim to provide an open and honest environment in which all players feel that they are key contributors to the team, that they understand what that contribution is, and work hard to improve themselves and their teammates. I value family and academics and acknowledge and agree with the fact that these rank above sports in most circumstances and I fully support that.  Above all, I value, promote, and model a growth mindset at all times in all of my programs and with all of my teams.
